Planetshakers In Town!!

.120408.

Welcome home planetshakers!! =D Every year planetshakers will hold some sort of conference and worship sessions to bring youths especially together to worship the Lord and tonight they rocked with thousands of youths yet again @ Full Gospel Assembly KL (FGAKL). In conjunction with the launching of YouthAlpha, Planetshakers came to start off the supposingly 7pm service who eventually began at 8pm due to the massive crowd pouring in, and reach out to many young lives of our nation. YouthAlpha is an evangelistic tool for youths to win their generation back!! A great 10week sessions for non-Christian to attend and in addition to it, YouthAlpha has already begun in 50 National Service Camps nationwide.

Took a few shots to show you how FANTASTIC the crowd was!! 95 % YOUTHS (That's what I thought)

*super long and wide queue from main sanc entrance*

*youths waiting excitedly at the main entrance*

*towards the end of the service*

Am really encouraged though to see so many young souls that turned up tonight. At least, they made and effort to come. And I really do pray that the seeds will be planted on good soil that will bear good fruits in the near future... All glory and honor to God!! =D

Liverpool, Chelsea, Man Utd or Barcelona?

.090408.

Today mark the "final" midterm of my life (Radar System Design and Analysis) !! Hehehe... Hooray!! No more midterms deee... ><

.100408.

Latest update was Man Utd swept away Roma with a 1-0 home victory to march into the European Champions League Semi Finals. Man Utd set a date with Barcelona in the closing stages of the UCL while Liverpool will host Chelsea first on April 23rd. It is the 2nd consecutive season that 3 English Clubs made it into the Semis.

Earlier, Tevez sealed the tie with a brilliant header after finding a perfect cross from Owen Hargreaves to make the aggregate 3-0. With 15 minutes left, it is quite clear that Roma couldn't come back looking at the way they play today. Man Utd definitely had more clear chances but Roma keeper was just too good today to deny few shots. De Rossi could have made it 1-0 from the spot, but found his penalty taken horribly off target at the top. Barcelona got away with a 1-0 win at home thanks to an easy finish from Toure (aggregate 2-0).

*looking forward to 2 things today: 1) Rocket Launching with Dan at 7.30 am and 2) Worship Training in SIBKL at 8pm*

Arsenal vs Liverpool Trilogy!!!

.090408.

The Arsenal vs Liverpool Trilogy came to a sensational ending just moments ago when Liverpool emerged as the better team in the cracking European Champions League Quarter-Final match at Anfield.

Both sides meet in just 7 days with Arsenal twice host Liverpool for the UCL Quarter Final 1st Leg and EPL match, both ended with a 1-1 draw.

The 3rd and final part of the trilogy looks as if it was going to be a 1-1 draw again when both teams levelled during half time. Everything changed when Torres scored a brilliant top right corner shot with 20 minutes left on the clock.

Arsenal fought hard and Theo Walcott made a magnificient run from his own half to beat 5 Liverpool men before passing it back to Adebayor to complete a cool finish that looked as if Arsenal was going through to the semi finals.

Just a minute later on the other half, Babel made a quick dash into the penalty box and was brought down by Toure. PENALTY!!! I was so freaking excited and the match was getting a lil or perhaps alot more intensed by then!! Gerrard stoop up before the ball and took the penalty firmly to beat keeper, Almunia. 3-2 to Liverpool!!!

Arsenal almost came back quickly with some pretty well attacks but Liverpool counter attacks was too good and Babel sealed off the game with a brilliant finish from the counter attack in the dying seconds.

*cheerz* to Liverpool but you have to face Man Utd in the Finals!! (That also if you make it past Chelsea who won 2-0 at home against Fenerbache with an aggregate of 3-2)

Why? Why? Oh, Why?

.070408.

Today's word came just in time for what's deep inside me.

"Why must I suffer disappointment, sorrow and tribulation? What have I done that God should send me trials? Is He displeased with me?" These questions are constantly asked by God's dear children.

Much of this fear and questioning is due to our misunderstanding of God's dealing with His own. He has His good reasons.

"If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons." Hebrews 12:7.

"No chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it" Hebrews 12:11.

When blades of distress cut deep in the soul,
Breaking up ground that was untouched before,
The Lord is preparing soil to bear fruit,
Fit for the harvest to feed many more.

All sunshine and no rain make a desert...

SIBKL 3G Inter-Cell Futsal Tournament

.060408.

Today mark the end of my 6 weeks of Alpha Course! Yay!! Next will be Steps-to-Freedom..

Was kinda looking forward for today's 10 a-side futsal tournament in "Padang" @ One-Utama Roof Top though. Joined "Salt and Light" cell for today's tournament captained by Willie Chai, the cell leader!
Let the games begin!!

Tournament officially started around 2.45pm and our team, named "duracell" which simply means toughest cell, was in Group B, together with Jars of Clay, Narrowstreet 2, and CoUZ 2. Our first game was against CoUZ (College and University people) and in the dying seconds of the 5 minutes per half game, Kelvin made a spectacular long range shot which was good enough to beat the keeper and collected all 3 important points. 2nd game was against the Narrowstreet team 2 players and Yoki, in particular was a superb playmaker for their team. He was fast, active and aggresive. The game looked as if it was going to be a draw but we did what we do best which was to score in the dying seconds again!! This time Willie made a brilliant dribble to the corner side of the field pass it back to the middle for Shyan to complete a perfect shot at the top corner to guarantee us a place in the semi-finalz.

Our final game for the group stages was pretty tough against Jars of Clay which was the mother cell for Salt and Light before they got mulitplied. Both team had equal chances and defended really well. To make the game even tougher, rain came and thanks to the strong wind, rainwater began to splash our entire body due to the fact the we were at the rooftop and the side were open air-ed. Anywayz, the water logged pitch failed to dispatch the fun and excitement of the game. We went on to battle and even after the 10 minutes regular time and 4 minutes of extra time, there was no clear winner and so it had to be decided on penalties. 2 girls and 1 guy. Eileen from my team took the first shot and well saved by the keeper and the other team's girl missed. 2nd shot was taken by CK and she made a perfect top right corner shot to make it 1-0 and the other team's girl miss again. And so it was my turn to net the winner from the spot. It was kinda pressure though coz i know if I can score that means we will go through as top of the group. I calmed myself down and made a powerful drill into the bottom left goal!! Hooray!!! Thanks Willie for trusting me!!

Semifinalz came and we were up againts i forgot the name (blue team) In fact, one of the team players got injured during our 3rd game thanks to my clearance towards the net where the people wre sitting very closely and watch!! I was very very guilty and sorry for the clearance and it was a pure accident =( I think I apologize more than 10 times to that guy.. Even right now as i write this post i still feel very sorry for his blue black left eye!! SORRY~~ In this semi finalz Rodney scored from a sideline kick in ball which was almost from the half line!! Fantastic goal that brought us into the dream final!!! Best part was our opponent is Jars of Clay again who was the better side in the other semis against the Kelabit team, who eventually won the best female strikeforce team!

FINALLLL!!!!! I knew that it would be a really really tough game. Tougher than the group stages and true enough i got 2 injuries from it. Thank God nothing serious, just got kicked on the right foot and calves. By now, the rain has stopped and the water has already been cleared off! 10 minutes one half and we went on again to 4 minutes of extra and still no winner!! PENALTIESS AGAIN!!! But this time, 3 girls and 2 guyz... To keep it short, all the girlz missed but our girlz did well, 2 off the post... Eric from my team took the first shot and saved by the their excellent keeper and the other guy scored. We were trailing 1-0 and i took the final shot. If I score, we still have a chance if the other guy miss but if I miss, Jars of Clay will be the champions... It was pretty cold in the soaking wet clothes I'm wearing and my right foot was in minor pain after the 2 injuries that I had. My mind was a little to focused into scoring! A little too pressured as well... And so I stood before the ball and calmly i took the shot!! TIIAANNGGG!! Hit the left post very well indeed.. Game over but it was a really really great day and time of fellowship. So Rodney led us straight for a thanksgiving prayer together with Jars of Clay and thank God for minor injuries throughout the match and great fellowship and fun!! =D

Won myself, shoe bag which I intended to buy, a pack of Kit Kat and also a Shampoo by forgot what brand d... hahaha... As a whole, we really had a fantastic 5 hours of tournament and we headed for Nandos for dinner straight after that. Didnt even bother to shower coz was super hungry already!! hahahaa... *cheerz* looking forward to the next tournament!!

*photos to be uploaded when I get hold of them*

Cat and Dog Theology??

.040408.

Life. It's not really about us, me, I, mine, my......... It's all about Jesus!!

I went for cell meeting just now and we started to learn about this "Cat and Dog Theology" and it really captured my mind and struck me hard. It gaved me a whole new paradigm shift on how it really reflects on our lives, even as Christians. Being the "cat", it's always about me and me alone, but on the "dog"'s perspective, it's always about God and Him alone!!

The first lesson started of with Genesis Chapter 1, and the speaker went on to read the whole passage of Chapter 1, from day 1 itself to the creation of heaven and earth. Most of us might be thinking why is he speaking all over again as if we don't know the passage. Some might even get bored and wonder why? Well, the answer to it could be because "we were not even there" at the creation of heaven and earth, so why bother?? Or.... why is it important to me?? People will only be interested from chapter 3 onwards coz only then it involves "ME".

Who is the main character of the Bible?? ME or God?? When we do our quiet time, is it because of what I can get out of God?? or because we wanto praise and honor God?? In "cat" theology, it's always about WDIG - What Do I Get?? But "dog" theology will be WDGG - What Does God Get?? Many of us might do quiet time for the sake of doing it, which i sometimes did but hey.... Some might do it because he/she is looking to get something out of it!! It's really time to change into a whole new perspective!! It's all about God!!! We wanto honor and praise and glorify HIM!!

John 3:16 - "For God so love the world that he gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."

Why did God sent His Son Jesus to die on the cross?? Many of us will say, to die for our sins... to save us from eternal death... for US..... But Jesus died on the cross primarily is to honor God. To glorify His name. What does God get?? Praise, Honor, Worship, Glory!! It's all about Him!! Eternal life so that we can worship Him in Heaven!!

It was really awesome to learn this "cat and dog theology" as it makes me think differently and experience Jesus and my walk with Him in a whole new perspective =) All praise and honor to the Lord!
