The Arsenal vs Liverpool Trilogy came to a sensational ending just moments ago when Liverpool emerged as the better team in the cracking European Champions League Quarter-Final match at Anfield.
Both sides meet in just 7 days with Arsenal twice host Liverpool for the UCL Quarter Final 1st Leg and EPL match, both ended with a 1-1 draw.
The 3rd and final part of the trilogy looks as if it was going to be a 1-1 draw again when both teams levelled during half time. Everything changed when Torres scored a brilliant top right corner shot with 20 minutes left on the clock.
Arsenal fought hard and Theo Walcott made a magnificient run from his own half to beat 5 Liverpool men before passing it back to Adebayor to complete a cool finish that looked as if Arsenal was going through to the semi finals.
Just a minute later on the other half, Babel made a quick dash into the penalty box and was brought down by Toure. PENALTY!!! I was so freaking excited and the match was getting a lil or perhaps alot more intensed by then!! Gerrard stoop up before the ball and took the penalty firmly to beat keeper, Almunia. 3-2 to Liverpool!!!
Arsenal almost came back quickly with some pretty well attacks but Liverpool counter attacks was too good and Babel sealed off the game with a brilliant finish from the counter attack in the dying seconds.
*cheerz* to Liverpool but you have to face Man Utd in the Finals!! (That also if you make it past Chelsea who won 2-0 at home against Fenerbache with an aggregate of 3-2)
